The shield is the most important part of a ship’s defensive system. It is the first line of defense against enemy laser fire and missiles. The shield will stop lasers and absorb or deflect missiles.
The shield is made up of four layers:
-An outer layer, which is usually composed of metal, that absorbs laser fire
-A second layer, which is usually composed of metal or some other material that deflects incoming laser fire
-A third layer, which can be either a magnetic field or an electromagnetic field, that blocks incoming missiles -A fourth layer that absorbs any remaining energy from the lasers and/or missiles
Shield operations are a form of defensive tactic that is used to protect a specific area. It is most often used in military settings and to protect a certain asset.
In this section, I will be talking about what shield operations are, how they are executed, and their relevance in the military.
